Digital Tools
Scoutbook is your go-to tool to ensure not a moment is missed – tracking advancement, milestone achievements, schedules and events, and all the fun along the way. Click here for the parent’s tutorial.
The Scouting App – You can search for “Scouting BSA,” or click these direct links to download from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Once the app is downloaded, parents and youth should use their Scoutbook credentials to login.
The Foundation of Scouting
One of the first things new Cub Scouts will learn is the Oath, Law, and Motto. These are the foundations of Scouting and the first requirements for earning your Bobcat rank.
Scout Oath
On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; To help other people at all times; To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.
Scout Law
A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
Cub Scout Motto
"Do Your Best"
A motto is a guiding principal and a rule for living. Do Your Best means trying your hardest, not just a little bit. Do your best all the time. Do your best in school and at home, when you play a game, and help your team.
